QUANTITATIVE FIELD INTERVIEWERS
The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a premier research-to-policy institution, generating evidence, strengthening research and related capacity in the African research and development ecosystem, and engaging policy to inform action on health and development. APHRC seeks to drive change by developing strong African research leadership and promoting evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) across sub-Saharan Africa.
In partnership with the Center for International Forest Research and World Agroforestry (CIFOR-ICRAF), the University of Nairobi (UoN), PELUM Kenya, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Oxford University, and Loughborough University— along with the county governments of Laikipia, Samburu, and Turkana and national government line ministries of health and climate change, among others, we will be undertaking a project titled: "Visibilizing Climate Change Impacts on Nutrition and Mental Health among Vulnerable Populations in East African Drylands" "(Visibilize4ClimateAction Project), funded by Wellcome.
We seek to recruit qualified quantitative field interviewers who reside in the following counties where the study will be conducted:
Successful candidates will participate in training and data collection for the project, ensuring quality output and adhering to data governance and ethical principles.
Responsibilities:
Quantitative field interviewers will be required to collect data at the household level using various questionnaires including those for households, caregivers, and farm production. They will also answer any queries from the APHRC/CIFOR-ICRAF research team. Specifically, the quantitative field interviewer will be required to:
